Print barcodes
Pupils' cards to print on A4: the group's logo, the school, grade and class, the pupil's name, and a QR code and barcode of the pupil number for scanning at the gate.
Open the page in SchoolOSWhat it is for
A card for each pupil, scanned at the gate in the morning with a barcode reader or a camera. Choose the school, grade or class, and the cards show ready to print.
Who uses it
The page opens for whoever holds “View barcode printing”; it is for reading, nothing on it changes anything. In the built-in roles: Owner, Principal, Stage supervisor, Teacher, Counselor. A group grants these to any role under Settings → Roles and permissions, and everyone sees only what is within their own scope.
Step by step
- Choose the school, stage, grade or class, or search for a pupil.
- Check the cards, then “Print”.
- For the logo to show on the cards: add the group's logo under Settings → System → Branding.
How it works
The code on the card is the pupil number the system generates, not their identity number, so the card carries no personal number. The gate's scanner reads either the QR code or the barcode. Four cards print to a row, and 300 at most at a time; the page says the full count when there are more. Viewing the cards is recorded.
On the page

Questions
- Why is the logo missing?
- The group has no logo yet: add it under Settings → System → Branding; the group's name shows in its place until then.
- A pupil lost their card.
- Choose their class or search for them and print their card again; the same code works.
