Privacy notice

The text a guardian or staff member reads about their data, and the privacy contact a data subject turns to.

What it is for

The privacy notice explains what data the school collects, why, and how its owner exercises their rights. MG Tech writes it and issues its versions, and it shows on a public page of the school website that needs no sign-in. Here the school sets the office responsible for privacy requests.

Who uses it

The page opens for whoever holds “View the privacy notice”, to look only, or “Manage tenant settings”, to work in it. In the built-in roles: Owner. A group grants these to any role under Settings → Roles and permissions, and everyone sees only what is within their own scope.

Step by step

  1. Type the responsible office, and at least an email or a phone, then “Save”.
  2. Read the notice in the card beside it, with its version number and date.
  3. Press “Open the public page” to see what a guardian sees.

How it works

The school does not change the notice's text; every change in its wording raises its version, and the version is kept with every consent recorded and every enquiry from the website. The privacy contact: at least an email or a phone, the name optional; with no name the notice points to “the school's administration”. The action log records that the contact changed, not its values. The public page is on the school website, linked from its footer, the contact form and the sign-in screen, and it shows the contact saved here, or, when none is saved, the website's email and phone from the website settings; it does not show if the website is not published. Only someone holding “Manage tenant settings” changes the contact.

On the page

  • The privacy contact: the name, the email and the phone.
  • The notice's text and version, and the link to the public page.

Questions

Can we change the notice's wording?
No. MG Tech writes it and issues its versions; only the contact is the school's.
What if we leave the name blank?
The notice points to “the school's administration” at the email or phone you typed.
Why does the public page say “not found”?
The school website is not published; publish it from the website settings.
